A 1930’s detached residential two storey house with 300m² rear gardens in a prime location of leafy Ealing Common was the private property developer approached us with to propose a redevelopment and modernisation with a twist.
While with a firm eye on creating an achievable investment opportunity and designs that would work best for its site, incorporating unique features, and maintaining its authentic charm!
As a designer when you design spaces for essentially unknown property owners, you design for the present with an awareness of the past and for the future which is instinctively unfamiliar.
Intuitively guided, research driven we approached this project with a holistic approach to create solutions with high investment return potentials in mind.
Resulting in each 5 uniquely diverse apartments with their distinctive style that meets changing needs of aimed for young HNW demographic groups.
Aimed at the young prime market of varied acquired tastes, with the precision of tunnel like vision, the turn-key restoration was to recapture the spirit and quality of its original architecture.
While drawing upon each apartment celebrating its own highly individual viewpoints.
Resulting in 5 abundantly sized luxury apartments that loudly and proudly with confidence speak their own language, architectural proportions and interiors style.
Expressively reflecting the individuality of its demographically varied occupants.
Drawn from a deep dive into the feasibility study & understanding of existing architectural features, it could not be ignored that for the interiors to prove meaningful, the unconventional approach to a whole design was needed. Away from the one type fits all.
Resulting in each apartment mirroring varied lifestyles of its young HNW professionals: ‘The Long View’ for the modern visionary with a poetic view into the gardens, ‘The Reception’ for the classic & traditional lover, ‘The Niches’ for the less-is-more compact living, ‘The Boudoir’ for the Parisian living vibes and lastly ‘The Bachelor Pad’ for the independent life seeker.
